My name is Scott, and I’ve been a flight simulation rookie since 2012 or so. Yup, I’m one of those kinds of people who have way too much stuff going on in life, and I’m such an infrequent flight simmer that I can never remember anything I learn. I guess I’ll always be a rookie…

I’m also a travel nerd, and I’ve discovered that flight simulation (with X-Plane and FSX) is a great way to scratch my travel itch when I’m grounded.

SimRookie.com is a place where I can archive my notes about my flight simulation activities. I’m not a die-hard flight simmer like a lot of other guys I know, but I am an aviation and travel geek at heart who likes to tinker with cool technology.

FYI, I’m only interested in airline-based simulation. I’m not much of a GA flyer – never have been, and I don’t think I ever will be. I simply find the airline industry too fascinating (as well as the aircraft) to focus on any other aviation segment.
